During the 34th week of pregnancy, the baby develops further. The baby is 17 to 18 inches from head to toe and weighs about 4.75 to 5 pounds, the size of a cantaloupe. His/her nervous system, brain, and lungs continue to mature. The head of the baby is probably in the downward position as preparation for birth, but this isnâ€™t always the case, and thereâ€™s no reason for the parents to worry.
