HRCT Chest Scan

An HRCT Chest Scan is recommended to a patient who has tested positive for COVID-19, in order to assess the severity of the infection in the lungs. The assessment is done via CTSS (Computed Tomography Severity Score) where the lung is divided into 5 lobes and each lobe is rated between 1-5 based on the severity. Out of a total score of 25, 1-8 is considered mild, 9-16 is moderate and 17-25 is severe.
