Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure carried out to examine the organs present inside the abdomen. In Laparoscopic surgery, a Laparoscope is used to examine the abdominal organs.
Laparoscopic surgery is performed to examine and diagnose conditions that develop inside of the abdomen. Once diagnosed, Laparoscopy is performed to carry out surgical procedures like removal of a damaged organ or remove tissue for further evaluation.

Discuss any ongoing medications with the doctor, Fasting may be required, heavy meals should be avoided before the surgery.
The procedure for Laparoscopic Surgery is :
Anesthesia is given to the patient
A surgeon makes small incisions in the abdomen to insert the laparoscope and to look around the abdomen
Gas is pumped into the abdomen
After looking into the abdomen area, the gas is let out of the abdomen and the incisions are closed
