The doctor will give you precise instructions to follow before each medical test or operation. At least 24 hours before the exam, refrain from drinking, smoking, or consuming caffeine.
Tell your doctor about all of your medications and any previous health problems you’ve had. A kidney function or creatinine test may be performed before therapy, and you will be asked to check your blood sugars if you have diabetes. You are instructed to consume a sugar-free, low-carbohydrate diet for the 24 hours coming up to the test.
Dairy products, cereals, bread, fruits, and other similar foods are avoided. Regardless of whether you will be given an anaesthetic, start fasting 6 hours before the test. For at least a few days before the test, your doctor may advise you to avoid strenuous physical activity and deep tissue massage.
