About:
Pruritus in simple term refers to itching. Sometimes red bumps, blisters, patches or spots can be observed on the surface of the skin alongside itching, which is known as pruritic rash.
Previously, only 20% people with the condition of uremia have the chances of developing Pruritus. Presently, almost 80-90% people may develop the condition along with severe uncontrollable itching.(1)

Prurital rashes, or rashes alongside itching can be caused due to fungal or bacterial infection, insect bites, Eczema or atopic dermatitis (due to allergies or food allergies), contact dermatitis (skin reaction caused due to something touching the skin such as skin care products or metallic jewellery). At times the causes of the rashes can have underlying problems such as Hives, Psoriasis, Pregnancy or side effects of other medications.
Symptoms:

The skin may become dry or cracked, leathery or scaly.
Redness can be noticed.
Bumps, blisters or spots may be noticed on the surface of the skin.
Treatment
Self-care: Through a patch test one can find out what substance one is allergic to and can avoid using products containing that. Wearing gloves to prevent contact with skin.
Medicines - Doctor may recommend ointment, oral or topical steroids and antibiotics. Photochemotherapy is also recommended by doctors at times.
