CT Urography

CT Urography is an imaging procedure that helps to evaluate the functioning of the urinary system and detect any disorders and tumours in it. CT Urography also aids in the detection of disorders in the abdominal and pelvic regions. (1)

CT Urography does not require hospitalisation. The process involves:

  • An IV is inserted to inject the contrast material.
  • The patient has to lie down on the CT Examination table.
  • The radiologist can ask the patient to change positions during the CT Urography procedure.
  • The table will slide in and out of the CT scanner as it captures the images from different angles.

CT Urography is a fast and painless procedure. The patient can go home after the procedure.
