Quadriceps tendinitis is a knee injury which causes inflammation in the quadriceps which are the muscles and tendons present in the leg. Quadriceps tendinitis is caused by the overuse or alignment problems in the knee structures. In some cases, it can also affect the knee, hip or the ankle. They are caused mostly due to the overuse of playing or getting involved in sport-related activities.
Ages affected -This condition often influences those between the age group of 20 - 30 years, those between the age group of 30 - 40 years are affected quite often, and those above 40 years of age are most affected.
The symptoms of this condition may include swelling around the quad tendon along with a sensitivity to touch. Warmth or burning [pain in the affected area can come around with inflammation.
