He is an eminent gastro-intestinal, laparoscopic and obesity surgeon is Indias First Surgeon in this line. He has undergone training under Dr. Andrew Jameisson, Australia and has been performing surgeries for more than 25 years. Dr. Dhorepatil is an official member of the international federation of surgery for obesity, which is an extremely challenging field. He has been the past president of the Pune Surgeons Society as well. The doctor is Fellow of the International College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Asssociation of Surgeons of India.
