Thou Shalt Use Essential Oils To Promote Hair Growth!

A lesser known fact is that essential oils help promote hair growth. It’s been used for thousands of years in many parts around the globe.

  • Add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil into a small cup. Add about one tablespoon of massage oil into the same cup. You can use coconut oil, jojoba oil, or shea butter oil as the massage oil.
  • Massage the oil into your scalp. Leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes and then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
  • You may directly add a few drops of essential oils in your shampoo. Make sure the quantity doesn’t exceed five drops per ounce of shampoo or conditioner

Thou Shalt Make Sure Your Diet Is Not Just Bread And Cereals!

The quality of your hair depends on the kind of foods you eat. In most cases, nutrient deficiencies arise due to genetic disorders or other medical conditions. Recent research proves that diet practices can promote healthy hair. You might be trying to get in shape, but you don’t realize that restricting your body from getting the vital nutrients can harm your hair too. Plan a diet such that you get enough vitamins and minerals every day.

Thou Shalt Use Chemical-Free Shampoos And Conditioners

Many shampoos and conditioners are packed with chemicals that harm your hair to a great extent. Check for ingredients like sodium laurel sulfate(SLS), Polyethylene glycol(PEG), methylparaben, propylparaben, diethanolamine (DEA), triethanolamine (TEA), alcohol, lanolin, petroleum and mineral oil. These ingredients remove the natural moisture from your hair and make them dry and fuzzy. Opt for natural, sulphate-free shampoos.

Along with this, avoid coloring dyes. Most of the commercial dyes contain p-phenylenediamine, or PPD that causes allergic reactions, irritation, and hair loss.

Thou Shalt Limit Heat On The Hair

One of the tips for healthy hair is to minimize the usage of hot rollers, curling irons, blow dryers as much as possible. Heat pulls out the moisture from your hair and makes it even more dry. Love the natural texture of your hair.

Thou Shalt Get Enough Sleep

One can’t look fresh without enough sleep. Your hair needs rest too. After a long day at work, make sure you get that 8 hours of good night’s sleep.
